Free Group Meditations with Tessa

Have you been searching for a meditation meetup group that is free, easy and convenient?  Would you rather meditate in the confort of your own home or office?  Do you like guided meditations? Do you like the energy of meditating in a group setting? Then you have come to the right place! 

My name is Tessa Gillespie and I love to teach meditation.  My goal is to introduce as many individuals to meditation as possible.  I enjoy meditating in a group setting but have a busy schedule that doesn't allow me to attend meditation groups on a regular basis, so I am trying out a new way of meditating.  Even if you have never tried meditation or you think you can't meditate, I will teach you how.  It's easy and free.

All you have to do is call 267-507-0240 and enter the extention number #920841 when prompted (please call in at least 5 minutes before the start of the meditation).  It's easier if you use the speaker phone or a headset/bluetooth so you are able to relax.  Make sure to check when the next meditation is at the top of the page.  The time is pacific standard time so be sure to call at the correct time.   

I will guide you through a 20-30 minute meditation that will help you gain new perspectives on stressful situations, build skills to manage your stress, Increase your self-awareness, help you focus on the present and reduce negative emotions.  I will guide you through a new meditation each day.

powerful sense of common focus when I attend a group meditation.  For most people, meditation means sitting in a perfect state of peace while having no thoughts...  Meditation really means sitting, without distraction, and focusing your attention inward as an instrument for self-exploration.  However, meditating as a group can have profound benefits, both personally and socially, and can offer opportunities that are not experienced when meditating alone. When we come together in group meditation and share an intention, or even simply share silence together, we discover a sense of consciousness that is very powerful.

Meditation can wipe away the day's stress, bringing with it inner peace. See how

Understanding Meditation

Meditation has been practiced for thousands of years.  It was originally 
meant to help deepen understanding of the sacred and mystical forces of
life. These days, meditation is commonly used for relaxation and stress
reduction.

Meditation is considered a type of mind-body complementary medicine.
Meditation produces a deep state of relaxation and a tranquil mind. During
meditation, you focus your attention and eliminate the stream of jumbled
thoughts that may be crowding your mind and causing stress. This process results
in enhanced physical and emotional well-being.

Benefits of Meditation

Meditation can give you a sense of calm, peace and balance that benefits both
your emotional well-being and your overall health. These benefits don't end
when your meditation session ends. Meditation can help carry you more calmly
through your day and can even improve certain medical conditions. It is a viable method of improving issues ranging from cardiovascular disease, inflammation and immune activity, to pain, anxiety, depression, and mental imbalances.
